www.textweek.com is a good web site for researching the meaning behind Bible passages.  The purpose of the site it to provide scripture study for the weekly lectionary.  The church calendar has lectionaries that are set up to repeat on a three year calendar - there are years A, B, and C.  There are also special/seasonal worship texts.
